The E-Aadhaar has the same validity as that of the Aadhaar card that a person receives by post. Introducing an E-Aadhaar is an initiative taken by the Government towards the Digitization.

How to Download E-Aadhaar PDF

 

The step by step procedure to download the E-Aadhaar PDF are as follows:

  1. Visit the Official Website of e-Aadhaar- https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/#/
  2. If you have applied for Aadhaar recently, and still you did not receive your Aadhaar number, then enter your Enrollment ID provided by the Aadhaar Enrollment Center.
  3. If you have your Aadhaar number then enter the 12 digit Aadhaar number.
  4. Now enter the Full Name and PIN Code of your Permanent Address.
  5. Enter the Captcha Code provided in the image above. Just enter the image that is displayed on the screen and click on “Submit”.
  6. Your last 4-digits of the Registered Phone Number is shown and One-Time Password will be sent to your mobile number.
  7. Enter the OTP in the space provided and click on “Validate and Download”

 

How to Open an E-Aadhaar PDF

 

E-Aadhaar PDF is a password protected document. So, whenever you want to open this document it asks for the password. So below are the steps to open an E-Aadhaar PDF.

  1. After downloading the PDF, you will find the downloaded e-Aadhaar PDF in the Downloads Folder.
  2. You can also check for the PDF in the Browsers Download Section.
  3. Type “Ctrl+J” to open the download section in Chrome.
  4. Double click on the PDF will help you open the PDF File.
  5. Since the E-Aadhaar is password protected, therefore, it will keep your document safe and secure. 

As mentioned earlier, that E-Aadhaar PDF is a password protected document, so whenever the applicant wants to open the E-Aadhaar PDF he/she has to enter the Pin Code as the Password to download the document. But now, the UIDAI has changed the downloading format. So, instead of entering the six-digit Pin Code, the applicant has to enter an eight-digit Password. The Password is a combination of first four initial letters of your name (as mentioned in Aadhaar) and the Year of Birth in (YYYY) format. The Password should be in Capital Letters. 

 

E-Aadhaar is a valid ID Proof and has the same authority as a physical Aadhaar Card. UIDAI has also launched an Android App called mAadhaar which acts as a proxy of Aadhaar.
